Abbots Yard reopens with a spring lineup that’s all about community

Starting September 3, Abbots Yard will reopen its gates, inviting the Abbotsford community to enjoy a lively spring season filled with events. Nestled in a formerly underutilized car park, this venue has quickly become a beloved beer garden, known for its good tunes, fire pits, and affordable eats.

This year, the team is making it easier than ever for locals to engage, rolling out a calendar packed with free hangouts and collaborative events featuring local creatives. The philosophy is simple: remove barriers to entry and let the community flow in.

Highlights include: - Knock Offs: Every Friday from 5 pm, enjoy free entry with rotating local selectors spinning tunes, perfect for unwinding after a long week. - LA vs SF Pregame Tailgate: On September 11, this unique event includes an American-style BBQ and games before the big match. - Moon Lantern Festival: Celebrate the Vietnamese Mid-Autumn Festival on September 20 with food, performances, and family-friendly activities. - AFL Grand Final Coverage: September 26 promises a day filled with footy excitement on the big screens, complete with food and drink packages. - Book Doof: A silent reading party on September 27 invites all book lovers to enjoy a cozy vibe with curated music. - Transcendenze x Hoiszn: Collaborating with local artists on October 3, this event aims to showcase BIPOC talent in the music scene.
