Mary's Poppin is shutting down a CBD street for the night, and they're bringing thirty-two queens to do it.
Poppin Out 2026 returns on Saturday November 7, taking over Synagogue Place straight after the Adelaide Pride March. The annual block party runs from 5pm to 11pm on the street, then moves inside Mary's Poppin and keeps going until late. One ticket gets you the whole thing.
The lineup is stacked: Hannah Conda, Kween Kong, Minty Hydrangea, plus local legends and interstate performers across drag shows and DJ sets for six hours straight. Alison Xpress, Bebe Babow, Boystress, Cleo Taurus, Indi Klosette, Kane Enable, Luci Furr, Popchops, Tritri, Vanity, Venti and Xai are all on the bill, along with another twenty names Mary's is packing into one night.
Here's why the structure works: presale tickets start at $25, and that $25 gets you the street party and Mary's for the rest of the night. No second queue. No cover charge at the door when you move inside. A room goes flat when people have to decide whether to pay again at 11pm, and Mary's solved that by making the decision once. You're in, you stay in.
Synagogue Place is right off Rundle Mall in the CBD, so you can walk straight over from the Pride March. The venue's been running since April 2016 and this is one of their biggest events of the year — they're calling it a celebration of drag, music, Pride and queer joy, which is marketing language for we're taking the whole street and filling it with hundreds of people.
It's 18-plus, photo ID required, and Mary's is reminding people to stay hydrated and look after each other. The street shuts down, the queens turn up, and Adelaide gets one massive block party.
Presale's $25. The street's only blocked once a year.
