Melbourne's nightlife is about to get a serious upgrade. On September 19, Hear My Eyes is throwing a wrap party at Miscellania that promises to blend the creative genius of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard with the cosmic grooves of Mildlife. This event marks Hear My Eyes' first dive into club territory after a successful live-score tour of Christopher Nolan's 'Memento'.
This isn't just any club night; it's a playground for musical experimentation. Expect a rotating lineup featuring the likes of drummer Michael 'Cavs' Cavanagh from King Gizzard, who recently wowed audiences with his solo reinterpretation of 'Memento'. Joining him are bandmates Stu Mackenzie and Joey Walker, who are trading their guitars for DJ decks.
Mildlife's own Jim Rindfleish will also keep the dance floor pulsating with his signature cosmic jazz sounds. The night will feature a mix of genres, with DJ Nay Nay bringing afrohouse vibes, while Sofay adds her eclectic flair developed from years of crate-digging and international gigs. Plus, there’s a mystery guest!
If you’re in Melbourne, this isn’t just another night out—it’s a chance to experience a convergence of local talent in an intimate setting. Grab your tickets and get ready to dance your heart out at Miscellania. This might just be the party that captures the spirit of Melbourne’s vibrant music scene like never before.
