Breakaway Mass is set to energize Worcester once again on August 21-22 at Palladium Outdoors, boasting an impressive lineup of 24 acts. This year, the festival leans heavily into its bass roots, featuring headliners like Zedd, Excision, and a special sunset performance from Sullivan King.
The Palladium's outdoor setting offers a fresh vibe compared to typical festival venues, providing a unique backdrop for the music. Excision, a powerhouse in the dubstep scene, continues to draw dedicated fans, and he’s particularly well-suited to the Worcester audience. Sullivan King’s sunset slot is a strategic choice, as his metal-infused dubstep resonates best while the sky is still light, creating a memorable atmosphere.
Zedd and Gryffin bring melodic energy to the stage, contrasting with the heavier offerings of the lineup. Other notable acts include Crankdat, INZO, and Wax Motif, who all contribute to a diverse sound palette. Local New England talent also features, ensuring a community connection to the festival.
Gates will open at 4 p.m. both days, with music running until 11 p.m. Tickets range from $179 for general admission to more exclusive VIP options, available through the Breakaway website.
