RocKwiz celebrates Christmas at Hamer Hall with a live trivia twist

The beloved music trivia show swaps Easter for a festive celebration this December.

RocKwiz is trading in Easter for Christmas cheer this December with its Very Merry Christmas event at Hamer Hall. After a decade of Easter celebrations, this festive spin will showcase the beloved music quiz on December 17, hosted by Julia Zemiro and quizmaster Brian Nankervis.

The event retains its classic RocKwiz format, blending seasonal songs with tricky questions, all backed by the iconic RocKwiz OrKestra. Dugald will be tallying scores the old-fashioned way — by hand. No need for pre-registration; contestants will be plucked from the audience in the Hamer Hall foyer before doors open, keeping the element of surprise alive.

Past surprise guests have included well-known artists like Leo Sayer and Kate Ceberano, but who will drop in this time? That's part of the fun, as the special musical guests are kept under wraps until the night itself.

Running for about two hours and 15 minutes, the show may include adult language, so it’s not recommended for those under 12 unless they’re already familiar with the format.
