brighton pride 2026: outfits to steal the boardwalk (and the buskers’ tips)
Brighton Pride is a runway by the sea. here are bold, wearable outfit ideas that nod to the city's queer history while staying festival-smart.

brighton loves a look. it’s part pageant, part seaside carnival, and part very committed thrift raid. 2026 will be no different — expect colour, costume and those little details people photograph for years.
go nautical without being twee. think sailor silhouettes turned camp: oversized collars, enamel pins, rope belts and a hat you half-wear, half-claim. it reads seaside, queer and deliberately theatrical.
lean into glitz and gender play. mix sharp tailoring with sequins. tux jackets over glitter bras. brogues with fishnets. masculinity and glamour are allowed to share a jacket pocket.
bring the mascot energy—playful creature-cosplay, kitsch animal pieces and faux-fur accoutrements. you don’t need a full suit to make the joke: a tail, ears or a patch can do the work and save you from overheating.
keep it Brighton-smart. layers for wind, flat shoes for cobbles, and a clear bag for hands-free dancing. think sustainable swaps: reworked vintage, swapped accessories, and thrifted bling that looks bank-balance-defiant.
most of all: wear what makes you grin. pride is a performance and a homecoming. be loud. be kind. bring sunscreen and a charger. the pier will thank you.
