brighton pride 2026: parade, pop stars and seaside glitter

Brighton Pride returned for a two-day blowout on 1–2 August 2026, with headline sets from Raye, Diana Ross, Paris Hilton and Holly Johnson. The parade remained the beating heart of the weekend — a rolling riot of colour, costume and community caught in a new set of images.

Brighton did what it does best. It turned the seafront into a runway and a rally. Two days. A weekend of music and procession. Full stop.

The headline names were always going to pull a crowd. Raye, Diana Ross, Paris Hilton and Holly Johnson each took their turn on stage. But the parade is where the city speaks. Floats moved slowly. Marching groups marched louder. Drag queens, community groups, families and neighbours filled the route.

Photographers leaned into motion. Close-ups of sequins and skin. Wide shots of a sea of flags. A few images stopped time: a child mid-wave, a veteran saluting, a spontaneous kiss. None of it felt staged. All of it felt true.

There was grit beneath the glitter. Pride is party and platform. The images showed both. Pride banners landed next to placards reminding onlookers why visibility still matters. Celebration does not cancel the conversation.
